چکیده

Abstract In this study, gadolinium (Gd) doped MgAl layered double hydroxides (LDHs) were synthesized via a ‘bottom-up’ method and fully characterized by X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy relaxivity measurements. Two cytotoxic agents then intercalated ion-exchange. diffraction patterns exhibit expanded interlayer spacings as result of successful drug intercalation. Infrared spectra also showed characteristic peaks the incorporated methotrexate (MTX) or 5-fluorouracil (5-FU). The LDHs found to be highly stable under physiological conditions, while in acidic conditions small proportion Gd was freed into immersion medium. Dissolution tests revealed that both 5FU MTX rapidly released from LDH carrier. longitudinal Gd-LDHs remains largely during release over 24 h, higher environments. Overall, drug-loaded Gd-LDH systems prepared study could serve pH-sensitive theranostic platforms for MRI-guided anti-cancer therapy.

Gadolinium-based layered double hydroxide and graphene oxide nano-carriers for magnetic resonance imaging and drug delivery

Gadolinium (Gd)-based contrasts remain one of the most accepted contrast agents for magnetic resonance imaging, which is among the world most recognized noninvasive techniques employed in clinical diagnosis of patients. At ionic state, Gd is considered toxic but less toxic in chelate form. A variety of nano-carriers, including gadolinium oxide (Gd2O3) nanoparticles have been used by researchers...

Stable cerasomes for simultaneous drug delivery and magnetic resonance imaging

Magnetic liposomes have been frequently used as nanocarriers for targeted drug delivery and magnetic resonance imaging in recent years. Despite great potentials, their morphological/structural instability in the physiological environment still remains an intractable challenge for clinical applications. In this study, stable hybrid liposomal cerasomes (ie, liposomes partially coated with silica)...

Gadolinium-Doped Gallic Acid-Zinc/Aluminium-Layered Double Hydroxide/Gold Theranostic Nanoparticles for a Bimodal Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Drug Delivery System

We have developed gadolinium-based theranostic nanoparticles for co-delivery of drug and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agent using Zn/Al-layered double hydroxide as the nanocarrier platform, a naturally occurring phenolic compound, gallic acid (GA) as therapeutic agent, and Gd(NO₃)₃ as diagnostic agent. Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) were grown on the system to support the contrast for ...
